So what's a moraine? Well, it's a "fine example of glaciation". Actually, when the huge sheets of ice descended across the land they would push rocks, boulders, wooly mammoth, and anything else in their path out of the way. The park is strewn with moraines such as this one. It is, indeed, a fine example of glaciation.
